Frequently Asked Questions

1. What levels of Chinese classes do you offer?  

We offer different levels of Chinese classes, from beginner to advanced level.  Please learn more about the different levels offered on our About page.

2. Do you have a class for total beginners?

Yes we do!  The adult beginner class focuses on developing Mandarin Chinese speaking and listening skills. Students will go through various topics such as greetings, numbers, family life, food and dates in Chinese. Student will also receive an introduction to the structure of the Chinese language. After finishing the beginner course, students will be able to conduct short conversations in Chinese and have a general knowledge of Chinese pronunciation and grammar. From there students will be well suited to move onto the intermediate level.

3. How often do classes meet?

For beginners in private sessions, we recommend class at least twice a week. The private class usually will be a minimum 90 minutes per course. We offer private classes on the Weekdays and Saturdays. Weekdays: Monday through Friday 3 pm to 7 pm, weekends 9 am- 6 pm.

4. What is the size of a small group class?

We take pride in keeping our class small (less than and equal to 12 students) so that the teacher can pay attention to each student’s progress.  We open a class when there are 5 students signing up.

5. I am interested, what’s next?

6. If I want to cancel the program, what should I do?

Sometimes things happen and plans change. No problem! Contact us if you need to cancel your registration before the first of class. However, since we base class openings on registration, we will be unable to refund cancellations within 7 days of the start of class. For private sessions, please give at least a 48 hour notice.

7. How I'm going to pay? And what are the payment methods I can choose from?

Your payment amount will match our monthly and quarterly package amount for each program. The monthly package for children or adult program is the minimum payment amount you would pay month to month. You can also choose our quarterly package option, you will pay the quarterly package amount quarter by quarter which will save you a great deal! Please go to each program page to find more details.

Currently, we ask that you pay by check. We hope to have an online payment system in the future.
